Within a few hours of the first reports of Kobe achilles injury, the paranoid Celtics fan in me started worrying about how this would work out positively for the Lakers. IMO, the worst case scenario would be that Kobe misses all of next season, Howard bolts LA for Houston, and Pau Gasol is traded to Brooklyn. The Lakers would finish with their worst record since 1958, win the Draft Lottery, and select Andrew Wiggins #1. Thus, landing the cornerstone of the next great Lakers dynasty.
My hands are shaking.
